Artist's CommentsSee.. I was looking at this picture a few days ago, and noticed that there were a few things about it that were REALLY REALLY bothering me - namely, the ear and the eye (it's too far up on his head in the other version). So, I decided, I'll just go in and fix those two little things and we'll be done and life will be good. ... I forgot, I lost the layered file when my computer self destructed last year. So I slapped a few layers on top of it and tried painting over it.. and.. got a little carried away. I ended up with this fairly evil looking version, which is totally never what I intended the piece to look like, but I sort of like it as a separate piece. : p So, er, yeah, that's it. Don't mind me. Beautiful, I love how the strokes of the hair look so utterly realistic, I love the colors of the grayscale that you used and it seems to enhance the bluish eyes. You're a great artist! This is my new favorite
-- "Art is a freedom of expression, not a freedom of choice nor obligation to perfect one's viewpoint"-Sutekihime This is eye-catching and was definitely worth the click on it. Especially the way the hair and eye are done are captivating, as well as the facial expression. Even though you didn't intent it to look like this, it came out simply gorgeous!
-- 'Twenty years from now you'll mourn the things you didn't do much more than those you did do. So throw off everything that ties you down and sail out of the safe harbour. Feel the wind underneath your wings. Explore. Dream. Discover. Beautiful.
